The public presentation of the book ‘A Very Good Bad Guy: The Story of Innocent 2face Idibia’ held at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos on Tuesday. From Tiwa Savage’s appearance to 2face’s daughter taking centre stage, here are 10 unforgettable moments at the event.
- 2face walks red carpet with wife and daughter.
Talk about a grand appearance. Man of the day, 2face Idibia, arrived at the book presentation accompanied by his wife, Annie, and daughter.
- Tiwa Savage makes first red carpet appearance after delivery
Tiwa Savage is back! The pop star made her first red carpet appearance since returning to Nigeria in September after giving birth to a baby boy in London. The new mom wore a black shred skirt and a white crop top. Unfortunately she did not walk the red carpet with husband, Teebillz, even though he was in attendance.
- Darey brought Naked to the red carpet
After releasing his fifth studio album, Naked, on October 13, Darey Art Alade, is still feeling the Naked vibes. Though he dressed simple, the ‘Pray for Me’ singer did leave an impression. He rocked a top that had ‘Naked’ inscribed at the back.
- 2face reveals Sound Sultan is his best friend
Many never knew the extent of the bond between 2face and Sound Sultan. During the book launch 2face Idibia revealed that colleague and the man who coined the ‘very good bad guy’, Sound Sultan, is his best friend.
- 2face’s daughter screams daddy during the event
Hello Olivia! 2face and Annie’s daughter did not realise daddy was in business mood. As the legendary singer walked to the podium, little Olivia screamed daddy and followed him. Being the good father that he is, 2face carried her before finally handing the one-year-old over to his wife.
- Ali Baba apparently thinks 2face attracts armed robbers
Poor 2face! Ace comedian, Ali Baba while reviewing 2face’s biography referred to him as a cat with nine lives, also adding that 2face is probably the only person he knows that attracts armed robbers. In his 14-page review, the comedy grand master said “I have read the book and I think it should be called the dynamics of being a superstar. The book will take you through facts and journalistic observations over the years. It chronicles the artistes life, his grass to grace, piece of his weaknesses and piece of his life.”
- Tee A reveals 2face sleeps a lot and snores
2face is human after all. Comedian, Tee A, gave the audience a sneak peek into 2face’s personal live when he revealed that the ‘Implication’ singer can sleep anywhere and that he snores.
- A standing ovation for 2face as Sope Martins rounds off with citation
After the citation was read, everyone in the audience stood up in respect of the singer that has impacted the Nigerian music industry. Among those in the audience were Teju Babyface, Richard Mofe Damijo, Ketchup, Segun Arinze, DJ Spinall, Tunde and Wunmi Obe, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, DJ Jimmy Jatt and Olisa Adibua. Also present were Qed.ng Editor-in-Chief, Olumide Iyanda, who wrote the book’s foreword; journalist and culture activist, Jahman Anikulapo, and CEO, Now Muzik and 2face’s manager, Efe Omorogbe.

2face has done it all, but still thinks he might make a career out of football. When asked ‘what is next?’ 2face replied “hmm, you know that field wey dey there, I no know but I fit be striker na.”
- 2face calls Eko FM Eko Hotel
We have all been there. A representative from Eko FM requested that 2face comes as a guest on the radio station soon. In reply the father-of-seven said that they would discuss the details privately. During his very short reply, he referred to the station as Eko Hotel instead of Eko FM. Who can blame him, he has performed at Eko Hotel & Suites more times than he can remember.
