Tinubu’s nephew wins APC Lagos Assembly ticket

Adedamola KasunmuAdedamola Richard Kasunmu, a nephew of the National Leader of APC, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Tuesday won the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket to contest the 2015 election to represent Ikeja Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Kasunmu is the son of Tinubu’s late sister, Alhaja Arafat Abiodun Kasunmu.

The deceased was the proprietor of Modupe Ayoade Nursery, Primary and Secondary School, located in the highbrow Magodo neighbourhood in Lagos.

She was the only daughter of Tinubu’s mother, the late Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji.

Tinubu was Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007.

The Assembly seat Kasunmu wishes to contest for is currently occupied by the Lagos House of Assembly Speaker, Adeyemi Ikuforiji, who is aspiring to contest the 2015 governorship election on the APC platform.
