Singer, Timi Dakolo, has signed on to Virgin EMI Records, a record label under global music entertainment company, Universal Music Group.
The songwriter announced the deal on Monday via a post on Instagram.

“He said ‘Hello Timi, My name is @ted_cockle and I am the Chairman of Virgin EMI Records @virginemi 🇬🇧@universalmusicgroup. I just want to personally welcome you home,’” Timi wrote.
The 38-year-old did not reveal details of the contract.

Timi joins the growing list of Nigerian artistes tied to Universal Music Group.
Among them are Yemi Alade, Tiwa Savage, and Burna Boy.
