Mr Universe Nigeria 2014, Egwuatu Francis Okwudili, popularly known as Francis Beacon, was attacked by armed robbers in the early hours of Friday in the Aguda area of Surulere, Lagos
The buffed up man was returning home from an event when he was stopped by gunmen and robbed of his car, a Toyota Matrix with registration number EPE 649 AC and other valuables he was with. He was also hit by the robbers with the butt of the gun.
Francis won the Toyota Matrix car, a rented apartment for a year, a year’s gym membership and subscription for his favourite fashion magazines after beating 23 other contestants to the Mr Universe Nigeria title.
He won the Mr Anambra World 2013 crown from where he proceeded to represent his state at the national competition.
