TB Joshua’s disciple Wiseman Harry arrested in Greece

Wiseman Harry in handcuff

A disciple of the late Prophet TB Joshua, Wiseman Harry, has been arrested in Greece alongside his associate Dimitris Panapakidis.

The duo was arrested over the weekend and handcuffed while being led to the prosecutor. They were later released.

Harry’s church, the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations Thessalonica (SCOAN Thessalonica) said in a Facebook post on Sunday, August 28 that Harry and his associate were arrested “for preaching the good news of Jesus Christ’s gospel.”

Speaking with the media while being led in cuffs to the prosecutor, Harry said, “I didn’t do anything to regret. I want to say a big thank you to the whole Greece. I rejoice because God granted me worthy of being imprisoned for Jesus Christ’s sake and the sake of my faith. I thank the constitution that we have the freedom of religious beliefs.”

After his arrest, Harry vowed to continue his work as a preacher, noting that the best is yet to come.

“As expected, the prosecutor saw us and let us go. I want to thank all the Christians, all the children of God around the world who supported us with their prayer, support and love. And we want you to know that we continue to pray for you, we continue to do the Lord’s work as we have been doing it for seven years now here in Greece and all over the world. And we know that good is not enough because the best is coming.”

Harry posted videos of his arrest and release on his YouTube page. He started SCOAN Thessalonica on April 19, 2015, six years before Joshua’s death.

His church said in another Facebook post on Sunday that his “arrest is undoubtable proof that the word of God has not changed and will never change.” The church quoted Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 3:11-12 where the Biblical character admonished Christians to be ready to suffer persecution for the sake of the gospel.

Harry was born Charalampos Tsakonidis on November 21, 1984, in the small village of Agios Athanasios in northeastern Greece. He served Joshua for a decade before founding his church.
