The Synagogue Church of All Nations has announced that its founder Prophet T.B. Joshua’s funeral would be broadcast live on Emmanuel TV.

The church said in a statement on Monday, June 14 posted to its social media pages that it will broadcast the week-long funeral beginning from July 5 to July 11, 2021.

Emmanuel TV is the one of the biggest television networks in the world owned by a single church.

The Synagogue church further confirmed that the remains of Joshua, who died on June 5, would be buried at the church in Ikotun, Lagos, contrary to wishes of the traditional rulers in Arigidi Akoko, the prophet’s hometown in Ondo.

“We are currently preparing for the week-long service from Monday 5th to Sunday 11th July 2021 in honour of Prophet TB Joshua’s life and legacy. He will be laid to rest at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria.

“All services will be broadcast live on Emmanuel TV. The services which will be open to the public will be communicated to you at the appropriate time.

“As our father in the Lord, Prophet TB Joshua says, ‘When we close our eyes to all things in this world, we shall open them in a world of glory,'” the statement partly read.

In April this year, the YouTube channel of Emmanuel TV was suspended for allegedly propagating hate speech.

The channel, which had over 1.8 million subscribers and 600 million views before suspension, was reportedly the most watched Christian ministry ever on the video-sharing platform.

The church denied any wrongdoing, saying in a statement posted to social media that “we strongly oppose all forms of hate speech! We have had a long and fruitful relationship with YouTube and believe this decision was made in haste.”
