Taxify reacts to attempted rape of Nollywood actress by driver

Transportation company, Taxify, has reacted to the “troubling news” that Nollywood actress, Dorcas Fapson, was almost abducted and raped by a driver on its network.

In a statement released on social media on Thursday, the Estonian company said it has zero tolerance for harassment and violence.

It added that the actress has been contacted and the matter is under investigation by the police.

“Upon receiving this incident, we immediately contacted the rider and expressed our concern to her in person.

“Our lawyers have petitioned the state intelligence bureau and the Nigeria Police Force to take up the matter.

“The incident is currently under investigation with these authorities and we are giving all the necessary cooperation,” the statement said.

Dorcas, a criminologist turned actor, said she escaped her alleged attacker by pepper spraying him.

“We at have zero tolerance for any and all forms of harassment and violence,” the company added, concluding that it will see the case to a just resolution.
