Tambuwal tasks military on professionalism

Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has commended the Nigerian military for exhibiting high sense of patriotism in carrying out various assignments within and outside the country.

He stated this in Sokoto when he hosted participants of Senior Officers Course 40 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, led by Brigadier General O.R Aiyenigba who were on a study tour of the state

Speaking at a ceremony to welcome the participants in Government House, Tambuwal acknowledged the contributions of Nigerian security agencies in efforts to promote peace and security in the country.

Tambuwal informed the team that Sokoto State Government has a cordial working relationship with security agencies in the state.

He also urged them to be more proactive in sustaining peace and security in the country.

The governor said as they embark on the study tour, they will encounter various people-oriented programs executed by his administration for the benefit of the people.

He thanked the team for choosing Sokoto as the destination for their study tour.

In his remarks, Brigadier-General Aiyenigba said they were in the state for their study tour with the theme “National Security and Youth Empowerment”.

He said they visited some projects executed by the present administration and some historical sites in the state.

The visitors commended the governor for executing projects that have direct bearing on the lives of the people and urged him to continue with the good work to the people of the state.
