Born in 1920, Abidoye started his primary education at the Native Administration Primary School in Kwara State. He joined the Christian Missionary Society (CMS) in 1929.

In 1936, he was baptised. That same year, Prophet Ayo Babalola, founder of the Christ Apostolic Church, visited Omu-Aran area of Kwara in the rainy season and it was raining heavily. Babalola reportedly prayed and the rain stopped. This was said to have confounded the teachers who then decided to allow pupils to choose whatever denomination they wanted to belong to. That was how Abidoye opted to become a member of the C&S Church.

Abidoye died the fifth spiritual father and chairman of the C&S Church.
