Super Falcons to know World Cup foes Saturday

The Super Falcons, the reigning African champions, will on Saturday, December 8, know their 2019 FIFA Women World Cup opponents with the draw billed to hold in France.

Nigeria, South Africa and Cameroon are Africa’s representative in next year’s showpiece.

The record nine-time Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (AWCON) winners have participated in all the eight edition of the quadrennial event which began in 1991.

Coach Thomas Dennerby will be aiming to better the country’s best outing almost 10 years ago.

In that edition, Nigeria reached the quarter-final before losing to Brazil 4-3.

AFC (Asia): Australia, China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand

CAF (Africa): Qualified: Nigeria, South Africa, Cameroon

CONCACAF (North America / Carribean): Qualified: USA, Canada, Jamaica

OCEANIA: New Zealand

UEFA (Europe): France (host), Spain, Italy, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Scotland, England, Netherlands
