Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo welcomes first child

Kenneth Omeruo

Super Eagles star Kenneth Omeruo has joined the father’s club after his wife Chioma gave birth to a baby girl on Tuesday.

The good news comes barely three days after his Leganes side picked up a precious three points against Alaves in the Spanish League.

Omeruo and Chioma tied the knots in December last year after several years of courtship.

The Chelsea defender made this known in a post on Instagram.

Being his debut in the fathering world, Omeruo was full of kind words for his heartthrob and gave his daughter’s name as Chairein.

“I love you so much,” he told his wife.

“You handled all the difficult situations like a boss. Thank you for this beautiful gift. Chairein is indeed beautiful as the mom. Thank you Jesus for, without you, none of this would be a reality.”

Omeruo is currently on loan at Leganes from Chelsea.

The defender has been capped 40 times by his country.
