Sterling Bank has announced the return of Agriculture Summit Africa (ASA) 2025, scheduled to hold on November 6 and 7 at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

Themed “Survival of the Greenest: Reclaiming Africa’s Food Destiny,” the summit will focus on financing pathways to promote sustainable growth in Africa’s agricultural sector.

Now in its eighth year, ASA will bring together policymakers, agribusiness leaders, investors and innovators from across Africa and beyond to discuss solutions to the continent’s agricultural challenges.

Managing director and chief executive officer of Sterling Bank, Abubakar Suleiman, said at a press conference that the summit was designed to strengthen Africa’s food security through collective effort.

“At Sterling, we believe Africa’s food future will be secured not by chance but by deliberate, collective effort,” he said.

“Our commitment is rooted in the conviction that agriculture is central to Africa’s transformation, socially, economically, and environmentally.”

Group head of agric finance and solid minerals at Sterling Bank, Olushola Obikanye, said the summit would provide a platform for collaboration between governments, financiers, innovators and farmers.

“ASA provides a platform where stakeholders can engage meaningfully to design solutions that strengthen agricultural value chains, unlock financing, and foster inclusion,” he said.

Sunbeth Global Concepts, a global agro-commodities sourcing and trading company, will co-convene the summit.

Head of corporate affairs and communications at Sunbeth, Eyitemi Adebowale, said the company’s participation aligns with its commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture across Africa.

The two-day event will feature panel sessions, keynote addresses, exhibitions and an Investment Deal Room aimed at connecting investors with agribusiness ventures.

Delegates from over 30 African countries are expected to attend.
