Filmmaker and husband of Nollywood actress, Stella Damasus, Daniel Ademinokan, has narrated how he missed the at New York City’s main bus terminal on Monday morning.

Four people were wounded when suspected terrorist, Akayed Ullah, detonated a “low-tech explosive device” strapped to his body, officials say.

Ullah, 27, was also wounded and a photo circulating on social media show him lying on the ground with his clothes ripped and lacerations on his upper body.

In a message posted on Twitter, Daniel, who now lives with Stella in New York after his marriage to actress, Doris Simeon, said the explosion occurred at the exact spot where he gets off the train every day.

“For some reason I delayed my morning commute today only to hear this,” he wrote.

To which his wife added a prayer that God would continue to guide and protect him.

According to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, “The reality is that we are a target by many who would like to make a statement against democracy, against freedom.

“We have the Statue of Liberty in our harbour and that makes us an international target.”

Daniel confirmed his marriage to previously twice married Stella in February after months of speculation over the live-in arrangement.
