Spiritual deliverance: Prophet docked over marathon sex with women

Court

The police have arraigned a self-professed prophet, Moses Okezie, before an Ejigbo Magistrate Court in Lagos over alleged monetary and sexual fraud, PM News has reported.

Okezie is accused of obtaining money from women under false pretense and tricking them into marathon sex sessions under the guise of spiritual deliverance.

The 49-year-old from Isiala Ngwa in Abia State and resident of 6 Olowo-Okere Street, Idimu, Lagos is facing two different criminal trials before the same court.

Okezie, a father-of-four, was first brought to the court in August 2015 for allegedly defrauding a 27-year-old Philomena Ajil of N550,000 and taking her to a hotel in Ikotun where he held a spiritual deliverance for her to be successful in business.

The exercise, which turned into a sex romp, lasted for several days before the victim realized it was a scam.

Okezie was charged to court and granted bail by presiding Magistrate, Mrs J.O.E Adeyemi.

But the spirit in him was not satiated.

The accused was later arrested and charged to the same Ejigbo Court presided over by Magistrate A.A. Fashola for allegedly defrauding a 26-year old woman, Amarachi Dike, of N1m and engaging her in marathon sex in a hotel under the false pretence of giving her spiritual empowerment for success.

The police also recovered a Golf car with registration number AAA 821 BE which he allegedly used to lure women.

It was tendered as exhibit before the court.

Dike said she fell into Okezie’s trap while she was returning from church service at Festac to her base in Iyana Iba.

She said he met Okezie and two others – a female and a male – when she was going home after service.

According to her, the trio pretended to be taxi operators plying Festac to Apple junction near Mile 2.

She said she was thereafter taken to Ikotun where Okezie – who acted as a prophet – made her drink a substance.

Like a puppet on a string, Dike said she ended up doing whatever she was told to do including borrowing money to give Okezie who thereafter exploited her sexually while claiming it was a deliverance session.

The scale fell from her eyes when those she borrowed money from pressured and she opened up that she was hypnotised and duped.

The matter was reported to the police and Okezie was arrested and charged to court.

He pleaded not guilty.

Fashola granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum, ordering that the accused be remanded in prison custody until he perfects his bail.

The matter has been adjourned till December 2, 2015.
