Sound Sultan’s widow remembers him on first death anniversary

Farida Fasasi, the widow of singer Sound Sultan, has remembered him on the first anniversary of his death.

The mother of three posted a video on Instagram on Monday chronicling Sultan’s best moments before his death.

Captioning the video, Farida simply wrote: “I love you.”

Fellow celebrities like Princess, Kaffy, Bimbo Ademoye and Weird MC penned down short tributes in the comment section of the post.

The deceased had three children with Farida an Igbo lady who used to be known as Chichi Morah.

Farida changed her name and religion after tying the knot with Sound Sultan, a Muslim, in 2009.

At one time, Sound Sultan denied forcing his wife to change her religion. “No one can change or force someone to change his or her religion. It just happened that she was married to me and she herself is in love with the religion,” he said.

Sound Sultan born Olanrewaju Fasasi died of cancer of the lymphatic system in the United States of America at the age of 44.
