Baba Dee tackles Reno Omokri over comment on Sound Sultan

Baba Dee, brother of late singer Sound Sultan has tackled former presidential aide Reno Omokri for saying that the singer was ill during the #EndSARS protest in October 2020.

Reno who shared an Instagram photo of the Singer on Wednesday to appreciate his involvement during the protest, added that in spite of his health status, the deceased still managed to lead the protest.

“And to think that Sound Sultan knew about his health condition, yet he sacrificed his comfort to fight for the common man. What an uncommon man,” he wrote in parts.

Reacting to his post, Baba Dee countered the self-acclaimed motivational speaker saying that Sound Sultan was not battling illness at the time of the protest.

The dancehall artiste also cautioned against disrespecting the dead.

“Oga please respect the dead and write about what you know. He was never battling anything at this point of his life,” he wrote.

Sound Sultan died of throat cancer on July 11, 2021. He was aged 44.
