America’s Got Talent star Kechi Okwuchi has revealed she is wearing earrings for the first time in 14 years.

The 31-year-old shared beautiful pictures of herself showing off her earrings in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

She said the two things she has missed since the crash is braiding her hair and wearing earrings.

Kechi said she has tried several earrings but none fit her ears because she doesn’t have ear lobes.

She also thanked her mom for not stopping until she found a way for her to wear earrings again.

“Speaking of gratitude, let me tell y’all a story. Two things I’ve missed since the accident are doing braids and wearing earrings. I don’t talk about it but my mom knows this.

“Sometime late last year, mommy came into my room all excited about a package that had finally arrived-little gold hoops that gently hook around the ear. We tried many things with no success cos I don’t have ear lobes so if this worked, it would be a big deal,” she wrote.

Kechi was one of the two survivors in the Sosoliso Airlines Flight 1145 crash on December 10, 2005.

She took part in the 12th season of America’s Got Talent in 2017 as a singer, and finished the competition as a finalist.
