Soso Soberekon apologises over Skiibii death hoax

By Bisola Bello

Embattled manager of Five Star Music, Soso Soberekon, took to Instagram on Friday to apologise to just about everybody over the false news that rising artiste Skiibii was dead.

There was confusion after news broke on August 14 that Five Star artiste, Abbey Toyyib Elias, aka Skiibii Mayana, had died from a heart seizure.

The news was later debunked by label boss, Kcee, who was away in Oslo, Norway at the time. Many accused the outfit of spinning the death story as a publicity stunt to push the artiste’s new single. Five Star in turn turned the heat on the manager.

It was an embarrassed and properly chastised Soberekon that publicly accepted full responsibility for the embarrassment and apologised for what he terms “miscommunication”.

The apology came a day after Kcee told a radio interviewer that Soberekon has been sacked by the music label.
