Celebrities like Sola Sobowale, Hilda Dokubo, Mercy Johnson, Mr Latin, Yomi Fash-Lanso, Yeni Kuti, Gabriel Afolayan, Broda Shaggi on Thursday attended Kunle Afolayan’s movie premiere Swallow.
In a chat with QedTV, the celebrities expressed their joy over the movie premiere and also prayed for Mr. Afolayan who also celebrated his birthday.
Gabriel Afolayan, brother to the celebrant described him as a mentor and a great man.
“He is a great man in all angles, as a big brother, as a mentor, he is everything, so being here is the right thing at the right time,” he said.
Hilda Dokubo said that Kunle is an inspiration to young filmmakers and a blessing to the movie industry.
Yeni Kuti applauded Kunle for setting a legacy and upholding his father’s name.
“He is someone who has carried his own father’s name, children that carry their father’s name, carry their legacy. I have a lot of respect for him because he is maintaining a legacy,” she said.
Yomi Fasho-Lanos said: “It is for a good cause, we are here today, the host of the event Kunle Afolayan is making us understand that there is nothing impossible once you have the mind and put effort into what you want to achieve.”
TAMPAN president Mr. Latin prayed for Kunle and also encouraged the filmmaker.
“We are so proud of him, the entire Nollywood is so proud of him, he has been doing wonderfully well and we pray God should give him the strength to do more. I expect nothing but the best from the movie. Anything Kunle touches turn to gold,” he said.
