Just months after her controversial treatment of a child beggar, social media influencer Omotara Akanni known for short as Motara has been enmeshed in another scandal involving food for the less privileged.

A Twitter user identified as @partyjollof_ had posted pictures of cooked rice and meat on Christmas Day.

Motara reacted to the post, saying “Xmas palliatives looted.”

@partyjollof_ then expressed disappointment at Motara, explaining that the food was for the less privileged.

“The food I snapped and posted is to be given to the needy on the streets (contributed for by myself and some kind people on this app for my @SecretSanta_NG initiative).

“Stealing pictures of that food with this stupid caption is a new low, even for you Miss Omotara,” the user snapped.

Motara, who recently opened new Twitter accounts after her old ones were suspended suspectedly over the child beggar incident, replied that she didn’t know the food was for the less privileged.

“…Didn’t know it was meant for your initiative o, I apologize bro,” she wrote, adding “I don’t even celebrate Christmas.”

The Ibadan-based influencer’s tweets have now been deleted.

Meanwhile, the incident has generated different reactions from social media users.
