Feso Osunlalu slain Greenfield University student

Feso Osunlalu, one of the students of Greenfield University, Kaduna who was killed after gunmen attacked the school on April 20, will be buried on Thursday, May 27.

The funeral service will take place at First Baptist Church, Port Harcourt Crescent, Garki 2, Abuja while the internment will be held at Gudu Cemetery.

Osunlalu, 22, was in his 300 level studying international relations when the gunmen stormed the varsity and abducted about 20 students.

On April 23, three of the students were found dead. Three days later, Osunlalu and another student were also found dead as the gunmen insisted they wanted N100 million as ransom for their freedom.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, a relative of Osunlalu, Lara Wise, wrote, “Tomorrow, the remains of Feso will be committed to Mother Earth. What we are going to do tomorrow is mere formality. Your soul has long been with your maker.

“Friends, kindly keep Feso’s family in your prayers tomorrow especially his mother who is my dear aunt. She was still mourning the death of her husband who passed in June last year.”

“This is one tragedy I have tried so hard to suppress…it’s indeed surreal,” she added.

Osunlalu’s death came as a big blow to his family which in June 2020 lost its patriarch and had yet to get over it.

He left behind a mother and two sisters Gbemisola and Oloruntobi Osunlalu.

“We (the family) are just trying to be strong,” Gbemisola told Qed.ng on May 7, same day her brother’s body arrived Abuja from Kaduna.

The public can also join the funeral which will begin at 9:30 am via Zoom with the following data: Meeting ID: 573 277 9188 Passcode: OLU1999.
