Former Kennis Music artiste, Azadus, has been discharged from an isolation centre after surviving COVID-19.

The man born Olalekan Fadeyi narrated his survival story in an Instagram post on Wednesday night.

“Glory be to God I just got discharged of Covid-19,” he declared.

Sharing pictures from his hospitalisation and some of the drugs administered on him, Azadus advised Nigerians to take the coronavirus seriously.

“If you must go out, see everyone as that COVID-19 itself and wash your hands for 40seconds at the least.

“Meanwhile, if you insist that Covid-19 is not real, Covid-19 is not in Nigeria or Africa, haaaaaaaaaa well, don’t be shy to ask me questions,” he added.

Lawyer and writer, Sam Kargbo, on June 7 tweeted about Azadus’ positive test for coronavirus, praying for divine healing.

A former member of a group known as Def-O Clan, Azadus found fame as a solo artiste on Kennis Music with songs like ‘You is the One’, ‘Sodiyen’ and ‘Madam’.

His fortunes fell after he left the label and was shot by robbers in his Festac Town neighbourhood in Lagos in 2005.

He lost his son in April 2009 before the child clocked one.

Born into a Christian home, the singer says he no longer an adherent of a particular religion.
