Shettima’s stepmother dies at 69

Vice President Kashim Shettima has lost his stepmother Hauwa Kormi who was aged 69.

Mrs Kormi died in the early hours of Thursday, according to Shettima’s spokesperson Stanley Nkwocha.

Kormi, who died after a prolonged illness, is survived by five children, many stepchildren and grandchildren.

Mr Nkwocha further said that the burial had been scheduled for 4pm, Thursday at Shettimari, Lawan Bukar, Maiduguri, Borno State.

“May the Almighty Allah forgive her shortcomings and admit her to Jannatul Firdaus, amen,” he added.
