Sex video: Lagos re-arraigns OAP Uche Igwe over Chrisland incident

Lagos State Government on Tuesday arraigned Metro FM OAP Uche Igwe aka Darksam before a Yaba Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly posting the sex video of a Chrisland School pupil.

Chief Magistrate Adeola Adedayo admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N10 million with three sureties in like sum.

The police first arraigned the 40-year-old broadcaster in May on a two-count charge of cyberstalking and breach of peace.

Mr Igwe pleaded not guilty to the charges.

At Tuesday’s proceedings, Omolola Saliu represented the state government which re-arraigned the defendant on a one-count charge.

In the amended charge, the defendant was accused of distributing, via Twitter, on April 18, the sex video of some Chrisland School pupils who were in Dubai for a World Schools Games.

According to the government, the offence is said to be contrary to Section 23(2) of the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency Law, 2021.

Chief Magistrate Adedayo adjourned till September 28.
