Jimmy JattBorn Jimmy Adewale Amu, on October 15, Africa’s most popular disk jockey, DJ Jimmy Jatt, is a year older on Thursday.

With 25 years in the game, the legend has garnered respect from colleagues and artistes beyond the continent.

To celebrate the birthday of the cool man behind the music, here are seven singles he has released.

  1. Da Yan Mo – ft YBNL stars

For a massive hit, Jimmy Jatt enlisted YBNL stars Olamide, Viktoh and Lil Kesh in the track ‘Da Yan Mo’. It was an explosion of indigenous rap music.

  1. Feeling the Beat – ft Wizkid

‘Feeling the Beat’ was released on October 2015. The tune which featured pop artiste, Wizkid was a blend of pop like never before.

  1. E To Beh – ft Phyno and Banky W

Banky W returned to his Ebute Meta roots and dropped some rap lyrics on Jatt’s ‘E To Beh’ while Ezenuunu of course did not disappoint.

  1. Glasses Up – ft 2face Idibia, Sound Sultan, Burna Boy and Young Grey C

‘Glasses up’ was a fusion of dancehall and afro pop and fans enjoyed every bit of it. The track featured 2face Idibia, Sound Sultan, Burna Boy and Young Grey C.

The great DJ and Eedris Abdulkareem blew up in the same era. It was not a surprise when he featured Eedris and V Tek for the insane single titled ‘Onile’.

Jimmy Jatt’s first collaboration started with 2face, Mode 9 and Elajoe. It was a statement of intent with which the disk jockey showed fans he was ready to conquer the music world.
