All set for GOTV Boxing Night

The fifth edition of the GOtv Boxing Night holds on Saturday at the Indoor Sports Hall of The National Stadium, Lagos.

A Boxing Day special, the event will witness the biggest ever pay-out in the history of Nigerian boxing, as the best boxer on the night will go home with a cash prize of N1.5million and the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy.

The event will feature four fights, three of which are title fights. The biggest is the African Boxing Union featherweight title bout between reigning champion, Waidi “Skoro” Usman and Edward “Shaka” Kakembo of Uganda.

Also on the card is the national light welterweight title fight between Olaide “Fijaborn” Fijabi and incumbent champion, Sadiq “Police Machine” Ahmed.

Another national title fight will see Sunday “Capo” Olalekan take on Stanley “Edo Boy” Eribo for the welterweight crown.

In the super middleweight category, Sunday “Golden Child” Ajuwa will take on Rasheed “Afonja Warrior” Abolaji in a national challenge contest.
