Aminu Masari and Katsina senators-elect endorse Godswill Akpabio and Barau Jibrin

Governor Aminu Masari and senators-elect from Katsina State have endorsed Godswill Akpabio and Barau Jibrin as senate president and deputy senate president respectively ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly in June.

The endorsement took place at the Katsina State Governor’s Lodge, Abuja on Sunday morning.

Governor Masari described Akpabio and Jibrin as committed members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) who would join hands with President-elect Bola Tinubu to move Nigeria forward.

He called on all senators-elect to rally around and vote for the duo to lead the Senate and for the speedy take-off of Tinubu’s administration on May 29.

Reacting, Senator Akpabio thanked the governor and his colleagues for their support and he promised to carry every part of the country along irrespective of party affiliation, saying, “The 10th Senate must work for the progress of this country. The 10th Senate will strive to bring back smiles on the faces of Nigerians.”
