Obasanjo wears Ethelbert2

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Saturday added modelling to his impressive resume by posing for pictures in clothes by Ethelberts Clothing.

The pictures (see below) were taken when Ethelberts founder, Emeka Oparah, visited the former head of state at his residence in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Speaking in a telephone interview with Qed.ng on Sunday, Oparah disclosed that that was not the first time the 80-year-old was wearing outfits made by his company.

“We have made clothes for him in the past. This time around, he decided on the spur of the moment to take pictures in our design,” Oparah said.

An unrepentant promoter of local businesses, Obasanjo did not only wear the outfit, he also insisted on carrying an Ethelberts branded shopping bag so that the identity of his clothier would not be in doubt.

Oparah, a corporate communications expert with over 25 years experience, said Obasanjo was pleased to honour Ethelberts by modelling its creation.

“Obasanjo is my mentor. He admires what we are doing at Ethelberts,” Oparah added.

The clothier said he later learnt that the ex-president travelled out of Nigeria on Saturday night and his outfit was admired by many who saw him at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
