Saraki, Dangote attend Lanre Shittu’s burial

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki and president of Dangote Group Aliko Dangote attended the burial pf Olanrewaju Shittu, founder of Lanre Shittu Motors on Tuesday.

The burial was held at Vaults & Gardens in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Saraki shared pictures from the burial on Twitter shortly after the event.

“Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un.

Earlier today, I attended the Firdau Prayer for the late Alh. Olanrewaju Rasak Shittu.

“May the Almighty Allah (SWT) provide continued solace to his family and grant him a place amongst the righteous ones in Aljannah Firdaus. Ameen,” the former Kwara State governor tweeted.

His wife Toyin Saraki also shared pictures from the burial on Instagram.

“Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power; He Who created Death and Life, that He may try which of you is best in deed: and He is the Exalted in Might, Oft-Forgiving.

“The holy script of Surah Al Mulk, were the thoughts and prayers as we joined the Shittu Family of Ikorodu Lagos, in the burial of their beloved father, husband, brother and son, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Olanrewaju Shittu, Chairman and Founder of Lanre Shittu Motors, today.

“I offered my heartfelt condolences to his family and pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants him a place in Al Jannah Firdaus. During this difficult time, my thoughts and prayers are with the Shittu family.

“As for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. It is He Who has made the earth manageable for you, so traverse ye through its tracts and enjoy of the Sustenance which He furnishes: but unto Him is the Resurrection.

“Amen,” Mrs Saraki wrote in her post.

Lanre Shittu died on Monday, February 27 at the age of 65.

He is survived by an aged mother, wives, children and grandchildren.
