Samuel Adedoyin’s daughter posts video of Ita-Giwa dancing at Calabar Carnival

Olori Olusola Adedoyin-Alao, daughter of industrialist Samuel Adedoyin, has shared a video on social media of Senator Florence Ita-Giwa dancing at the 2023 Carnival Cultural Calabar.

The event held on Wednesday witnessed cultural performances from the 18 local government areas of Cross River. It had different cultural groups in beautiful attires. Cultural troupes from Ghana and Cameroon also graced the annual occasion.

On Thursday night, Olori Adedoyin-Alao, who attended the carnival at the behest of the state government, shared a video on Instagram of the 77-year-old Ita-Giwa in her colourful carnival attire.

“Senator Ita Giwa, mama Bakassi, in her own carnival costume,” she captioned her post.

Ita-Giwa represented Cross River South in the Senate from 1999 to 2003.

This year saw the return of the children’s carnival segment after an eight-year hiatus.

The UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar witnessed the participation of no less than seven bands during the children’s carnival.
