You’re always getting caught, Nigerians react to Sammie Okposo’s cheating scandal

Sammie Okposo

Nigerians on social media are debating the sincerity of Sammie Okposo’s apology to his wife Ozioma after confessing he cheated on her.

The singer had earlier apologised for his actions, begging his wife and fans to forgive him. He also announced suspension from all ministry work.

Nigerians took to Twitter to react to his apology, while some stated that a public apology was not necessary, others argued that it was damage control.

“I guess they were about to blackmail Sammie Okposo, so he had to quickly make it public before the blackmailers do,” @Alex Oluwatobi wrote.

“The spirit of Tuface is at work in him! Father Lord, may my story not be like this men abeg. How do they even minister to their audience with such an attitude?” @KOgbih asked.

“I remember many years ago when Pastor Paul suspended and even excommunicated Sammie okposo for this same philandering act. I still remember when he was reinstated and restitution was done. I was in church both times. This is sad. I hope the babe isn’t blackmailing him,” @LauraofLagos wrote.

“So the lady that Sammie Okposo cheated with went on YouTube and embarrassed him for a whole 3hrs? Wow. Dude should have seen it coming. You don’t go messing with a chic named African Doll and not expect to be dragged by your bald head. I wish he and his family Gods grace sha,” @KwemEwah wrote.

“Sammie Okposo always cheating and getting caught,” Bolu wrote.

“This Sammie Okposo gist will serve as another big lesson to believers that always use men of God & gospel ministers as the anchor of their faith. As believers, your faith should be built around the word of God. Fix your eyes on Jesus, the author & perfecter of our faith,” @TheBabaTee wrote.

“It’s only after being caught you’ll see a man put up that kind of apology Sammie Okposo put up. You watch your wife sleep beside you, cook for you, tuck your children in and play her duties everyday while you cheat without remorse. Cheating in marriage should be punishable by law,” @Lollypeezie wrote.

“Would Sammie Okposo have apologized if that girl did not go on YouTube live to cast him? How many times has he cheated on his wife in the last without getting caught? These are the questions. Never forgive people who apologize just because they were caught,” @Drpenking wrote.

“Sammie Okposo didn’t have to do that, you don’t owe the public an apology, apologise to your wife and seek redemption/forgiveness from God,” @_auxano wrote.
