Samklef’s cover of Adele’s Hello pulled down by YouTube

Since British singer, Adele, released her first single in three years ‘Hello’, Nigerian artistes including Omawumi, Praiz and Ruby Gyang have released cover versions of the record breaking song.

Not wanting to be left out of the trend, producer and singer, Samklef, also released his own cover for the hit track.

The prolific hit maker, however, changed the tune, altering Adele’s version to give it a reggae vibe.

Like others before him, Samklef uploaded his creation on video streaming website YouTube, only for it to be pulled down by the site for copyright infringement issues.

Samklef took to Twitter on Thursday to thank his fans for loving his version and to announce that it has been pulled down.

“Thanks 4 luving my  #hello reggaebeat version by adele … My  video mix was pulled down on youtube lol https://t.co/Wu4uUxTqgt,” he wrote.

Although YouTube might have pulled down the song, it is still available for download at other sites.

Some fans have commended the producer for his creativity not minding the seriousness of his infraction.
