Senior pastor of Daystar Christian Centre Sam Adeyemi has sent a message of support to candidates taking the unified tertiary matriculation examination (UTME).

The exam organised by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) kicked off on Friday in over 700 centres across the country.

Adeyemi shared a video on Instagram on Saturday praying for the candidates .

“Give it your best shot and I pray for God to give you peace of mind,” he said, and prayed for wisdom for the candidates to recollect all they have studied.

The clergyman also prayed that the candidates would put their trust in God and avoid cheating.

“Best wishes to all my young friends writing the UTME JAMB exams all over Nigeria today. I pray for God to reward your hard work and give you success,” he captioned his video.

Meanwhile, JAMB registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyode on Friday appealed to candidates who experienced glitches in the course of the examination to remain calm as they would be rescheduled to take the exam.

Oloyode directed owners of computer-based centres (CBT) to get parents seen near the examination halls arrested, alleging that in most cases they aid malpractices.
