Royal wedding: Oluwo’s ex-wife Chanel Chin posts cryptic message

Chanel Chin, the former wife of the Oluwo of Iwo Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, has appeared to throw shades at her former husband following his wedding to Princess Firdaus of Kano.

Oba Akanbi married the princess last Saturday and has been posting pictures and videos of the ceremony which was held in Kano.

Over the weekend, Chin, daughter of Jamaican reggae singer Ludlow chin best known for the song ‘Pain’, took to Instagram to comment on abusive men.

Commenting on a quote that reads, “Men don’t get counseling. They get a new woman that don’t know how they be lying,” Chin said: “Abusers don’t change, they only change victims.”

“Knowing the tea, but letting ppl flex in peace,” she added.

Oba Akanbi, who became the Oluwo of Iwo in November 2015, at 48, married Chin shortly after he was enthroned.

According to the monarch, the union which produced a son named Oduduwa, ended in 2019 due to irreconcilable differences.

Oluwo’s new wife is a princess from the Ado Bayero dynasty.

Their wedding was held at the residence of Madakin Kano in the Yola Quarters of Kano, with representatives of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and that of the Emir of Kano among dignitaries in attendance.
