Former minister of transportation Rotimi Amaechi has lost his aide Asondu Wenah, popularly called Aso Wenah.

Wenah reportedly died of heart attack in Lagos on Wednesday. He was aged 54.

The native of Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State was one time a federal commissioner for mobilisation and fiscal Planning representing Rivers State.

Confirming the news of Wenah’s demise to TheNiche on Wednesday, Amaechi said, “I spoke with Aso at about 11.47am on Tuesday. I just came out of class on break at the Nigerian Law School and we spoke on phone. We didn’t conclude our discussions before I went back to class. So we agreed to talk again in the night.
