Late Oke who tweeted ‘Nigeria won’t end me’ during #EndSARS protest buried

The late product designer Oke Obi-Enadhuze who tweeted “Nigeria won’t end me” moments before he died in the heat of the #EndSARS protest in Lagos has been buried.

Mr Obi-Enadhuze died from an injury to the neck inflicted by thugs that attacked his residence at Mafoloku, Oshodi area of Lagos, according to his brother Daniel Obi-Enadhuze.

His lover Dede shared pictures of the funeral on Instagram on Thursday.

She wrote: “Laid my baby to rest today🕊⚰️. In those last minutes, I kept waiting for him to come back to live.🥺

“Oke and I weren’t just lovers. We were friends. Good friends. Best friends. Partners. We did everything together. We loved each other so much and never failed to express it every time. We were our relationship goals. I’m glad he got to experience real love and I’m glad I got to experience him.”

Obi-Enadhuze’s residence was among those invaded after thugs hijacked the protest and began destroying public and private property.

The product designer, who had helped build a blood donation app for Life Bank Services, was a fresh graduate of Computer Science from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

Social media users have also paid tributes to him.
