Reno Omokri’s wife denies being mother of new baby

Tuokpe Omokri, wife of a former presidential aide Reno Omokri, has denied being the mother of the baby her husband announced as their fourth child recently.

Mrs Omokri told THEWILL in a phone conversation that she was not the mother of the baby named after former President Goodluck Jonathan, but confirmed she was still married to Mr Omokri.

The online newspaper said the ex-presidential aide had described its previous report that called him out for fathering a child outside his marriage as “salacious and scandalous,” adding that it was being sponsored by the Buhari administration.

However, when asked if she and Omokri just had a baby, his wife said, “No”, adding “We are still legally married.”

Asked what was really going on in her marriage, she answered, “I am a very private person, I shy away from the media and social media. I am not going to say much now.”

Ex-President Jonathan had on May 8 via social media congratulated Omokri over the birth of the child named Ebele after him.

He also congratulated him during the baby’s dedication in Ethiopia.

The newspaper said it learnt that Omokri manages Jonathan’s social media pages and still prepares his press statements.

Omokri had said in a February 23 tweet that only he and his wife knew she was pregnant, advising others to keep private matters off social media.
