Ramon Adedoyin, others appear before court for arraignment over Adegoke’s death

Hotelier Ramon Adedoyin on Thursday arrived court for his arraignment over the death of Timothy Adegoke, a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).

Adedoyin was brought before Osun State High Court alongside six other suspects.

Adegoke reportedly died in Adedoyin’s Hilton Hotel and Resort last year in Osun and was secretly evacuated by hotel staff.

The police had charged Adedoyin with alleged of unlawful interference with the corpse among others while the other suspects — Adedeji Adesola, Magdalena Chiefuna, Adeniyi Aderogba, Oluwale Lawrence, Oyetunde Kazeem and Adebayo Kunle — were arraigned on seven-count of conspiracy, attempted murder, murder, altering of receipt before a Federal High Court in Abuja before the case was withdrawn for transfer in February.

The move followed insistence by the deceased’s family lawyer Femi Falana for the case to be moved back to Osun where the alleged incident occurred.

It was gathered that the suspects arrived in Osun on Wednesday evening.
