Forgotten Super Eagles star, Rabiu Ibrahim, has joined Slovak club, SK Slovan Bratislava, his eighth European team.

Ibrahim began his European conquest at Portuguese side, Sporting Lisbon, in 2007 followed by spells at Real Massama, PSV and Celtic.

He later kitted for Kilmarnock, Trencin and most recently Genk.

Ibrahim returns to Slovakia after just one season in Belgium, where he only featured four times.

Confirming his departure was compatriot and former teammate, Moses Simon, in an Instagram post on Wednesday.

Ibrahim was once heralded as the next Austin Jay-Jay Okocha after dazzling at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in 2007.

But the skilful midfielder, now 26, has since failed to live up to the hype.

The latest move presents a fresh start for the player, who has been capped just five times by Nigeria.

Bratislava is the most successful club in Slovakia, with the most league and cup titles.

They are also the only Slovak side to have won any European title.
