Produced by Sarz, the track ‘Expensive S**t’ sounds like a reincarnation of every other Wizkid song. Without any definitive difference from his previous tracks, Wizkid delivered a track beneath his own clichéd standard. It simply gives meaning to the phrase “people buy the beat of a song and not the lyrics”.
In recent times fans have advised Wizkid to write more solid and meaningful lyrics, but this track shows he has not paid much attention to the advice.
The hook goes

He sang this hook thrice in three minutes, which basically means he said absolutely nothing in the song.
He moved to the chorus with no identifiable verse in the song and just sang

I say wetin you wear the things you do

I know you like expensive s**t oh oh eh eh eh eh eh eh
Because of the beat in the background one may not immediately notice that the only thing he didn’t repeat and can’t even be counted as a verse is
Pretty pretty pretty lady age is just a number
Ijo lani kojo sugbon sakara oloje ni
Just make I feel you baby
Feel the sound and feel the flow oh oh
Ijo lesere, owo nbe lapomi
Following that very short, unremarkable verse, all we heard was his signature tone, screams and of course the bridge of the song that might have well been composed by a five-year-old.

Diehard Wizkid fans will appreciate this song. For that, thanks should go to the producer and not the musician.
As usual, the video features lots of girls in different stages of undress. One wouldn’t expect an interesting video from a less than understandable song.
