TB Joshua’s former disciple Prophetess Yinka embarks on charity work

TB Joshua disciple Prophetess Yinka Olugbenga

Prophetess Yinka Olugbenga, one of the disciples of the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations Prophet TB Joshua, has embarked on charity work.

The preacher said in a video posted to Instagram on Tuesday, December 21 that she was following in the footsteps of her mentor Joshua in paying less attention to herself and more to others.

She said, “I am here thankful and grateful for every moment of God’s attention in my life and in your life as well. Today, I am here to give what I’ve been given out of his generous hands. And this is one of the examples I have learnt from my mentor Prophet TB Joshua to spend more on others and less on myself. In this world that cares less we must care more.”

The lady addressed as Prophetess Yinka quoted Matthew 5:7 and spoke briefly about the “secret of true blessing”.

The video captured items such as shoes, rice, noodles and drinks which were distributed to orphanages, physically challenged, widows and widowers.

Charging her followers to remember the less privileged, she said in another Instagram post, “Brethren, what gift have you prepared to give this Christmas? Remember a farmer does not produce for himself alone, he also has other in heart! Please reach out in Jesus name!”

Joshua, who passed on on June 5, 2021, was known for philanthropism, helping victims of flood, earthquakes and similar disasters around the world.

He also donated money to the COVID-19 relief fund of the Lagos State Government.

Meanwhile, Yinka recently broke her silence six months after the death of Joshua.

In a video posted to YouTube, she commended Joshua’s widow Evelyn Joshua for being strong after her husband’s death and during the crisis that followed her emergence as SCOAN’s new leader in September. She also called on members and partners of the church to come together to continue Joshua’s legacy.
