Prophetess Silekunola attends another wedding as Ooni marries Tobi Phillips

Queen Naomi Silekunola

The estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife Prophetess Naomi Silekunola on Sunday attended the wedding of Oba Omotunde Adako, the Oliyere of Iyere Kingdom in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Oba Adako married Olori Oluwaseyi Omobola at a grand ceremony in Lagos.

Actress Mercy Aigbe and her husband, Kazim Adeoti, and also actor Femi Branch were at the wedding as well.

The wedding of the Ondo monarch coincided with that of the Ooni Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi to model Tobi Phillips.

Phillips is a former World Miss University Africa and graduate of marine science from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Videos and pictures of the wedding have gone viral.

Phillips is said to have dated the Ooni for six years. She was reportedly tipped to be queen after Olori Zainab Wuraola left but Silekunola came into the picture.

The former beauty queen will be taken to the Ooni’s palace and formally welcomed into his home as an Olori later in the week.

Silekunola has maintained the Ooni’s surname despite being separated from him since December 2021. She has a son with the king named Prince Tadenikawo.

Oba Ogunwusi has been on a wedding spree since Silekunola left the palace. He has now married three wives including Mariam nee Anako and Elizabeth nee Akinmuda.

He is scheduled for another wedding to Princess Ashley Adegoke on October 14.

Adegoke is a chartered accountant and also runs a non-governmental organisation known as the Ashley Adegoke Foundation. She is from the Lafogido royal house.
