Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, on Wednesday joined the growing list of celebrities sending Christmas messages to their fans.
Going from controversial to pastoral, Tonto wrote: “In the spirit of Christmas and love in the Air, I pray specifically for the broken hearted, for those who have lost a loved one, going through a painful divorce, or going through a Heart break from the loss of a child, husband, friend, business, family, sickness or even Lack etc.. May this beautiful season not bring u sorrow but strength, May the thoughts of suicide be far away from you, May the thought of Loneliness be filled with the Love of God… It’s easy to fall into depression this season because of the constant reminder that Christmas season is best spent with our loved ones and the sight of others happiness can be a painful reminder of what you might have lost… My sister, My brother you are not alone, You are the reason for the season.. You are the reason God has sent his only begotten son to come to earth and fill that void in your heart.. Be strong! let God come in and mend those wounds, and be your plus one and provider.. I wish you a beautiful holiday my darlings.. It’s well and will always will be IJN.. AMEN”
One thing that is immediately noticeable is that while most celebrities opt for new photos in their Christmas messages, the actress chose an old picture, further fuelling speculations that she is indeed several months pregnant.
Not one to miss a chance to flaunt her face and body, Tonto’s decision to use a file photograph follows her disappearance from the social scene after news broke that her midriff had been expanding.
She is believed to have gone under the radar to keep prying eyes away from her belly.
The 30-year-old first sparked pregnancy rumour on November 11 when she was spotted in Lagos with a baby bump.
During a fan chat session on Facebook on November 17, a fan with the name Omosigho Progress asked the actress if she was really pregnant.
Tonto simply answered, “When the time comes you will know dear”.
Later that month, she posted and then deleted a picture on Instagram where she appeared very pregnant.
In the picture, the DB Records singer tried to cover the bump in her belly with a big white shirt but her stomach was still visible and her lips appeared very full which some believe was a sign of pregnancy.
According to reports, the actress is currently in the United States of America to give birth to her child.
Tonto got married to Oladunni Churchill at a private ceremony in August 2015.
