Italy will play no part in next summer’s FIFA World Cup in Russia following a 1-0 aggregate defeat to Sweden.
The Azzurri were unable to overturn a slim one-goal deficit at the San Siro on Monday evening.
It will be the first time the four-time champions will miss the showpiece since 1958.
