Police summon armed personnel escorting Adamawa SUG president to convention

Spokesman of the Nigeria Police Force Olumuyiwa Adejobi has said that the police have summoned two armed personnel who were filmed escorting the president of Adamawa State University Student Union Government (SUG) to a convention venue.

A video of the policemen escorting a vehicle in which the SUG president rode has earned the police backlash.

The identity of the SUG president was not immediately clear as of press time.

Reacting to the video on Wednesday, Adejobi wrote in a post on X that the policemen had been identified.

He added that they are to report to the police headquarters, noting that the Force would not tolerate indecency.

“These policemen have been identified. They are to report to the FHQ for further actions. There is no room for indecency, complacency, and unethical conducts,” he wrote.
