Singer Paul Okoye has debunked viral reports claiming that a woman who accused him of rape has been sentenced to prison.
Posts circulating on social media alleged that the accuser had been convicted and jailed for six years.
Reacting to the claim, the former P-square member shared a screenshot of the report, dismissing it as false.
“Fake news!!!” he wrote.
The controversy began in September 2025 when a woman identified online as Ayomide Agboola, known by the handle @chubbiedivah, made allegations against the singer on social media.
In the posts, she accused Paul of cheating on his former wife Anita Okoye and alleged that he raped or coerced a domestic worker.
Paul denied the allegation and said he would pursue legal action against the accuser.
“I will locate you; I will utilize every necessary means, authority, resources, and finances at my disposal. You shall confront the legal system; I will make you a cautionary example — a scapegoat.”
The claims sparked widespread reactions online, with fans and critics weighing in on the matter.
Subsequently, reports indicated that the woman was arrested and arraigned in court following a police investigation into the allegations shared on social media. The arraignment marked the start of legal proceedings.
