Pastor Adeboye insists on statement about women cooking

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has insisted that women should be responsible for cooking for the family.

The RCCG leader had stirred debates on social media following his advice on Monday to his ‘sons’ against marrying women who cannot cook.

However, in a tweet on Thursday in reaction to a message by his wife, Folu, Adeboye backed up his advice with scriptural passage.

“As anointed women, we must teach our children to cook, they can’t keep eating at a restaurant every day of their lives. Women teach your children to cook and eat at home, they can’t eat out all the time,” Pastor Folu said.

Adeboye responded: “She rises also while it is still night and gives food to her household And assigns tasks to her maids. Proverbs 31:15.”

Pastor Folu spoke at the ongoing Feast of Esther, a feast for women who are heads of ministries and wives of general overseers of churches.

Senior pastor and founder of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, and his wife, Ifeanyi, were at the feast on Wednesday night.
