Oyedepo, wife celebrate as Benson Idahosa’s widow Margaret clocks 80

Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church International on Saturday joined in celebrating Archbishop Margaret Idahosa, widow of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, on her 80th birthday.

Oyedepo wrote on social media that Idahosa has been a great example to Christians.

“Happy 80th birthday to a dear mother @margaretidahosa. Thank you for being a great example to us all. May the Lord increase you on every side and cause every desire of your heart to be established in Jesus’ name, amen! Congratulations Ma,” he wrote.

Oyedepo’s wife Faith also celebrated Idahosa in a social media post.

She said, “Happy 80th birthday to our dear mama @margaretidahosa We thank God for keeping, upholding and ushering you into this season of life.

“We pray for more strength and greater grace for the journey ahead in Jesus’ name, amen. Thank you for being a blessing! Congratulations Ma.”

Idahosa shared photos of herself on Instagram in a stylish white shirt and skirt, noting that she was grateful to God.

“80 Years of Consistent Favour and Grace from God,” the clergywoman wrote.

“80 Years of Gratitude. 80 Years of Victory. Thank You Jesus!!! This is 80.”

After the death of her husband on March 12, 1998, Idahosa took over as the archbishop of the Church of God Mission International (CGMI), the Christian ministry he founded. She is also the chancellor of Benson Idahosa University.
