La La Land continued its winning streak on Sunday, winning seven – including best actress, best director and best picture – out of its 14 total nominations at the 89th Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles.

Emma Stone was named best actress in a leading role for her performance in the musical romantic comedy-drama.

The male category went to Casey Affleck for his role in Manchester by the Sea.

Mahershala Ali took home his first Oscars best actor in a supporting role for his role in Moonlight.

Viola Davis also took home her first Oscar best actress for her best supporting role in Fences which resulted in a standing ovation.
