Omoni Oboli celebrates selection for Toronto International Film Festival

Omoni Oboli is super excited that her new film, Okafor’s Law, has been selected for screening to a global audience at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) running from September 8 to 18.

The actress, who also wears the hats of producer and director, is happy as well for the eight other filmmakers whose works were also selected for the festival which will be focusing on Lagos in its City to City segment this year.

She shared her excitement on Wednesday with the message that “Nollywood is winning”.

Other films selected for the festival are 76 (directed by Izu Ojukwu), 93 Days (Steve Gukas), The Wedding Party (Kemi Adetiba), The Arbitration (Niyi Akinmolayan), Taxi Driver (Daniel T. Oriahi), Just Not Married (Uduak-Obong Patrick), and Green White Green (Abbah T. Makama).

Kunle Afolayan’s The CEO will enjoy a Special Industry Screening on September 12, according to a statement signed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, on Tuesday.
